How it works
Say it. It exists.
You describe a piece of jewellery in your own words. It is built in front of you as a real object — real metal, real stones, every measure read off the model you are looking at — and priced from what it takes to make. Change anything. When it is right, order it. Here is exactly what happens from there.
The piece
Made in front of you, then made for real.
What you see on the page is not a picture of a ring; it is the ring. The model carries the metal’s fineness, the band’s width and thickness, each stone’s cut and millimetres, the weight in grams. The Details under any piece shows all of it, and the price beside it is built line by line: the metal at the day’s spot price, the stones, the bench’s work. Nothing is rounded up to a tier.
The same model goes to the bench. The piece is cast in the metal you chose, set with the stones you chose, finished by hand and checked against the model before it leaves. Made to order, one at a time.
Changing it
Change anything. Nothing moves in silence.
The rows under a piece — metal, stone, size, width, section, finish, lettering — remake it on the spot and price it again. When a choice would take something off the piece, the row says so before you tap, and the note under the piece says what came off and why. Every version is kept; the one you order is the one you were looking at.
What you give us
Your pictures are kept to build better.
Pictures and files you upload — a photograph of a ring you love, a picture you ask us to engrave, a model from your own software — are kept, with the piece we built from them, even after you delete the piece. We keep them for one reason: to check how well we built from what you gave us, and to improve how pieces are built. They are not sold, not published and not shown to anyone else.
Under every piece there is a line, “Something not right? Tell us.”, and beside it “Looks right”. Either one reaches us with the piece as it stood, and we read every one.
Buying
Your card is held, not charged.
- 1. You order. Your name, your email, then Stripe’s own card page, where you give the address it ships to. We never see your card number.
- 2. A bench takes it — within 24 hours. Your card is held for the amount, not charged. The piece goes to every workshop we work with at the same moment, with its measurements, its stones and its terms; the first to take it is the one that makes it, and you are told which by name. You get an email the moment the hold lands, and another the moment a bench has it.
- 3. Taken: charged, and the making begins. Only now does money move. And if no bench is free inside those 24 hours, we cancel the order and release the hold in full rather than leave you waiting — you are told plainly, and you are never charged for a piece that is not being made.
- 4. Made in 3 to 5 weeks, and you watch it happen. Cast, set, finished, checked. The bench marks each stage as it passes and you get a short letter each time, from the people with their hands on it. Any stone paperwork reaches your order page before the parcel does.
- 5. Shipped, tracked, signed for. Free, insured and signed for, anywhere in the world. You get the tracking number by email the day it leaves.
What arrives
The piece you approved, and its papers.
The metal is what the page said — 18k is 750 fine, 14k is 585, platinum 950 — and it is stamped. A stone that carries a laboratory report arrives with it, and the report is on your order page before the parcel is. A ring that needs a size adjustment is resized once, free, within 60 days.
If it is not right
Two promises. The piece decides which, and it says so before you pay.
Every piece carries one of exactly two promises, and you are shown which one under the piece itself — before you order, not after.
30 days, full refund
A piece with nothing of you in it. Send it back within 30 days of delivery, for any reason or none, and every dollar comes back — return shipping ours. We can sell it to the next person who wants it, or melt it and start again, so there is no reason you should carry the cost of changing your mind.
30 days, remade free
A piece carrying your own words — an inscription, a monogram, your name cut from sheet. It cannot be sold to anybody else and it cannot be unmade, so the honest promise is not a refund: tell us within 30 days and the same gold and the same stones are melted down and made again, properly, until it is right. No charge, and no limit on how many times we try. What we cannot do is give the money back, and you should know that before you pay rather than after.
Neither of those is the generous one. An open-ended promise to keep making your ring until you are happy with it is worth more, on a piece that took a month, than the money back and a shrug.
A fault in the making — a stone that loosens, a solder joint that fails, a finish that was not as ordered — is repaired free, for as long as you own the piece, by the bench that made it. Wear is wear; we will tell you honestly which it is. One free resize within 60 days.

Who makes it
We sell the piece. A named bench makes it.
Ayin is not pretending to be a workshop. The design, the model, the measurements and the price are ours; the metal is poured, the stones are set and the piece is finished by a manufacturing partner — and you are told which one, by name, on your order page, before it is made and forever after.
We work with Blue Moon Diamonds in Israel, our founding partner. A house built on the diamond trade two families have been in since the early 1950s, with its own production floor and a bench of goldsmiths who came from the largest names in the industry. They believe a buyer should decide for themselves how to spend a budget — size, or colour and clarity — which is the same argument this shop makes every time you change a stone and watch the price move.
Every partner accepts the two promises above in writing before a single order reaches them — including the one that costs them money, which is remaking a personalised piece for nothing if it is not right. A bench that has not signed is never sent work. See who makes our pieces, and the list grows as benches join.
Who you are buying from
Ayin is a trading name of Eliyahu Moshe Leinkram.
One person, named: Eliyahu Moshe Leinkram, ABN 98 293 572 810, Sydney, Australia. Not a holding company, not a brand with nobody behind it. If something goes wrong with your piece you are dealing with him, at the address below, and he answers.
Prices are in US dollars and include no GST. A return is arranged by email: we send a prepaid, insured label and the address it goes back to. Your card details are never seen by us — the card page is Stripe’s own.
